Can't find the special character you need? Draw it and Google Docs guesses the rest...

We use Google Docs at our school and the more I use it, the more impressed I get. Someone came to me the other day and asked how to insert special characters into Google Docs.

You go to Insert > Special Characters.

But the one I want isn't listed. I can't find it? Here's where Google Docs really shows off, skip to the 1 minute mark to get to the point, but the whole video is good.

Quickly find and insert special characters into Google Docs, Slides, and Drawings:

Geoguessr Geography ICT

If you haven't seen this yet then please click on the link or the picture below:

https://geoguessr.com/

It's a game using google maps which tests your geography skills.
Geoguessr takes you to a random place on Earth and you need to guess where you are using the built in map. It's a great plenary activity for Geography.

Have fun!

Raspberry Jam

I'm blogging on a Raspberry Pi from the STEM centre in York where I'm currently at my first Raspberry Pi Jam in a workshop with Tim Smith from AKS school in Blackpool.

Learning how to make a Jelly Baby traffic light using a raspberry pi and Scratch GPIO.

Great fun!

Much more on Scratch GPIO in a future post.
